Description

The Ear Nebula was discovered in 2005. It is a bipolar planetary nebula. Its diameter is 6' arc and it is weak. At f/8 I needed 10 min shots in bin X2 to get an acceptable signal. Its curious shape is due in part to its movement towards the NW, where the brightness of the outer layer is greatest.
